Salt Spring Island Farmhouse
This is a full re-model of a 1920's build farmhouse on Salt Spring Island, one of the Southern Gulf Islands off of B.C.'s coast. Timeless form and a fully updated modern interior featuring re-claimed and site fabricated hardwood finishes, wide plank oak flooring throughout and custom millwork make this an architectural gem that blends history and comfort.
About the build
This project took a derelict and forgotten property and breathed new life into it. Originally built in 1920, This farmhouse on Salt Spring Island was one of the earliest homes built on the island. We removed all the interior finishes and created a stunning modern take on a classic farmhouse design. A large covered porch greets you and beckons you to relax and enjoy the pristine gardens around this timeless custom home. The interior millwork is all made of re-claimed material harvested directly from the walls of this home, re-purposed and given new life by our expert carpenters. All new finishes throughout the home make this build feel like a brand new home, and the clients plan to spend the rest of their days enjoying their Salt Spring Island Farmhouse Estate.
